5th Grade: Bathiany
The students in Mrs. Bathiany's class created a project that tied into their unit on sound.  The beautiful melted crayons on a large canvas create a one of a kind guitar.  This vibrant guitar "ROCKS" off the canvas.

Ms. Cousino’s class project is a silver 16 x 20" framed black and white photo of the students' hands positioned in the shape of an ace. A color pop image of Granville's Blue Ace is centered within their hands to make this a contemporary piece of art while showing school pride!

5th Grade: Giannetto

Mrs. Giannetto’s fifth grade class worked diligently to measure out, design, and paint our gorgeous American flag on a beautiful pine wood slab.  The children then took a template of Ohio and created the shape of Ohio with a heart over Granville and completed a beautiful string art project right on the flag.

5th Grade: Newell
Mrs. Newell’s class created a lovely birch tree snowscape collage mounted on a 22” x 30” heavy watercolor paper canvas.  Each student, along with Mrs. Newell, crafted his or her own birch tree on watercolor paper strips using fine-tipped black markers.  Students personalized their trees with names, initials or symbols.

5th Grade: Rapp

Our students had the opportunity to create an amazing family game night basket with a unique hand painted Blue Aces rustic checkerboard, with checkers individually designed by each of the students in Mrs. Rapp’s class.  The basket also includes a comfy fleece blanket with edges tied by the students and a pillow with a beautiful scene of downtown Granville on the front, and statements on the back from each student expressing what “happiness is” to each of them.

The students in Mrs. Weate’s 5th grade class made a “When I Grow Up” photo collage. In the collage are pictures of each of the students holding a sign saying what they want to be when they grow up. The collage is on a 16 X 20 canvas and would look great in anyone’s home.
