Jerry Lucas, led Ohio State Buckeyes to three straight NCA finals and the 1960 College National Championship. Only three-time Big Ten Player of the Year and also twice named NCAA Player of the Year. Lucas was named All-NBA First Team three times, an NBA All-Star seven times, 1964 NBA Rookie of the Year and named MVP of the 1965 NBA All-Star game. Inducted to the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in 1980.
Jack Nicklaus, widely regarded as the greatest golfer of all time, winning a record 18 career major championships, producing 19 second-place and 9 third-place finishes over a span of 25 years. While attending OSU, Nicklaus won the U.S. Amateur teach (1959,1961) and an NCAA Championship(1961). A member of the inaugural class of the World Golf Hall of Fame and a recipient of the Congressional Medal of Honor.
Archie Griffin, College football's only two-time Heisman Trophy winner, Griffin won four Big Ten Conference titles with The Ohio State Buckeyes and was the first player ever to start in four Rose Bowls. A two-time Big Ten MVP winner, UPI Player of the Year recipient and Walter Camp Foundation Player of the Year. Griffin is a member of the National Football Foundation Hall of Fame.
